Seaside in the City Centre

Need an escape from the heat of the city of Fethiye? Why not take a stroll along the seaside in the city centre. Fethiye’s city centre also runs along the stunning seaside, making the town both convenient and beautiful.

1. The Parks

Gor for a lovely stroll along the water or sit on one of the sweet benches that look out over the water. The park near the city centre contains not only lovely places to relax, but also statues and memorials detailing Fethiye’s unique past.

In the park slightly further away from the heart of the city, the government has placed barbecue pits where, in the warm months, you will find people of all ages enjoying a relaxing evening on the grass; surrounded by beautiful nature, good company, and delicious food.

Both parks provide you with the opportunity to sit back and watch the bustling seaside life of Fehtiye unfold.

2. The Restaurants

In addition to these lovely parks, the walk along the seaside is scattered with restaurants waiting to give you the meal you’ll never forget.

Maybe you just want a little bite to eat and a drink- no problem. Several cafes and restaurants sit along the boardwalk of sorts, ready to provide you with simit- pretzel-style bread covered in sesame seeds- Turkish tea, and delectable little cookies. Sit back and enjoy a leisurely cup of tea as you gaze across the seaside, listening to the water gently lapping against the boardwalk.

However, if you are in the mood for a nice meal, try one of the many restaurants along this stretch of water. The restaurants have two rows of seating along the sea. They reserve the tables beside the sea, so if you would like to be seated right next to the water, reserve a table ahead of time. However, if it’s a spur of the moment decision to dine there or you just don’t think of reserving, don’t worry! The view is beautiful no matter where you’re sitting.

Many of the restaurants are also open for breakfast and lunch so feel free to stop by whenever on your leisurely stroll along Fethiye Bay.
