Fethiye Bays

Thought people most commonly think to go to Ölüdeniz for the famous beaches, such as Belcekız Beach, Fethiye has several other bays and beaches just as worthy of your visit. Here are some of these such beaches ready with their views of tranquil waters and relaxing pebble beaches.

1. Aksazlar Bay

Located near the Fethiye Harbour, this bay offers a peaceful and quiet view of the Fethiye city centre. Near the waters of this bay, scattered across the pebble beach and the encroaching forested land, sit several different types of lounging beds ready to relaxation. This bay provides the unique experience of watching the boats as they pass in and out of the Fethiye harbour. While this bay is perfect for relaxation, it is not necessarily a place for great swimming, so if you would rather be somewhere with ideal swimming conditions, this might not be the place for you.

2. Küçük Samanlık Bay

Found only 4 km away from the Fethiye city centre, this bay promises both tranquility and excitement. Lush forest meets a stone beach with gentle waters, providing for the perfect getaway without having to travel to far out of the Fethiye city centre. There is food that can be purchased at the bay, but many people opt to bring their own food and eat picnic style.

3. Büyük Samanlık Bay

This bay can be found just by the Küşük Samanlık Bay and offers a similarly relaxing time. So if one is busy one day, perhaps hop on over to the other to see if it is less populated!

4. Kuleli Bay

Kuleli remains one of the favorites for both locals and tourists to enjoy. Other than simply the bay, there is also a lake, barbecues, a restaurant, a stage, and several cabanas and lounge chairs for rent. The water is clear and lovely- perfect for a swim followed by relaxing on the beach and drying off in the sun.

5. Günlüklü Bay

Located just near a protected forest, this bay sits secluded within land protected in order to preserve its natural beauty and tranquility. It is possible to rent lounge chairs and umbrellas from the nearby hotel along with drinks and food. This bay certainly promises a relaxing afternoon, immersed in nature.

6. Katrancı Bay

Just 16 km from the Fethiye city centre, this bay offers similar amenities to the others with lounging equipment on the pebble beach and is surrounded by rocky cliffs, secluding the beach. And if you wish to extend you visit past one day, the facilities offer camping on site. Additionally, there are a few restaurants and even grocery stores located nearby for your convenience.
